Hair Loss Restoration

Hair loss restoration has become a booming business. You
only have to look it up on the Internet to see what a large
number of websites on this subject is available.

Most of the websites are about surgeries to restore lost
hair. Though some people might choose surgery to remedy hair
loss, by and large people find it too expensive to be
affordable.

It is also a painful procedure. There was a time when the
only treatment available to cure hair loss was medication. But
then, for some men these medications had the terrible side
effect of making them impotent.

Happily, it is now possible to restore lost hair, not by
painful surgery or by medication that had drastic side effects,
but by dealing with the main causes that produce pattern
baldness.

Male pattern baldness or androgenic alopecia to give it its
scientific name, results when free testosterone (male hormone)
combines with an enzyme called 5 alpha reductase to produce a
new hormone called DHT.

DHT by itself does not produce baldness. This hormone is
found in all males but not all males are bald. However, if you
have inherited a gene from your parents that makes the skin on
your scalp sensitive to DHT, this hormone will attach itself to
the hair follicle.

When this happens the hair becomes thin and dies. As
mentioned already, this non-surgical treatment deals with the
key issues that cause hair fall, which are free testosterone,
the enzyme it combines with and the new hormone that is
formed.

There are minerals and herbs that treat the conditions which
bring about hair loss. These are given below: Saw palmetto: It
has been known for a long time that this helps men with
prostate problems.

It is now known that it not only inhibits 5 alpha reductase,
it also make the scalp less sensitive to DHT. Zinc: This
mineral also inhibits 5 alpha reductase, and is particularly
effective when taken in combination with vitamin B6.

Nettle root: Research has shown that nettle root absorbs
free testosterone circulating in the body. Nettle root
functions very differently from the medications which caused
impotence by reducing the testosterone levels in the body.

Saw palmetto, zinc and nettle root make a very effective
combination for the treatment of male pattern baldness. You
would get even better results if you add Minoxydil to this
powerful combination.

What monoxydil does is to take up DHT circulating in the
blood. It also improves circulation, thus aiding hair growth.
Curing hair loss should not stop with merely preventing further
loss of hair, but also encouraging new hair growth to replace
the lost hair.

For this, you must take supplements of vitamin B6 and
biotin, both of which are essential not only for the growth of
healthy hair but also to maintain your skin in a healthy
condition.

Let me tell you this: if you have no biotin in your body you
will be without eyebrows and eyelashes! The best hair
restoration product that worked for me was Provillus. You can
